No Response From Common Man Even for Bigger Issues:
Bomb blasts, Thousands of crores of scams, Unending unfinished govt. projects but no strong response from common man of India, Because we are so busy earning daily bread. Prices reaching skies day by day, We need to secure our financial future, Need to secure children future.
On the other hand govt/govts has been paralyzed, The return of 'back to normal' is considered people's acceptance of incidents, scams, disasters as normal, Where as for common man there is no other go, We have to get back to work. No other way but to trust government.
We Need Not Do Everything The "USA Way":
One 9/11 happened, USA govt didn't sleep until the responsible person, responsible group and responsible country was no more the same.
But it is USA. Our problems are ours, We have to focus on our problems, Understanding the root causes is already half of the problem solved.
Solution:
The solution"s" for current Indian problems are of two types, long term and short term. The problems are so severe that they need to be addressed immediately and at the same time, Just applying the immediate solution and relaxing will not help. We need to take both steps, apply the immediate solutions and take steps for long term solutions.
For example, to beat the corruption, Jan Lokpal Bill is an immediate solution, but it is not a good long term solution as Jan Lokpal is nothing but "A System to Monitor another System", It is obvious that we are going to corrupt even that system. So the long term solution for corruption would be to bring changes in the system in such a way that there would not be any room for corruption. How this could be done, to give with an example: to avoid contractors to put bad materials and show to govt that they have used quality material, Dont provide money to contractors to buy material instead supply them with material and make sure that same material is used. To avoid taking bribe by officials in govt offices for faster processing of files, channelize the money that people are ready to shell out and provide it to govt employees as extra bonus!
These are just examples of longer term solution, in short long term solutions are to bring changes in system so that there will not be any room for corruption.
